Beef
The beef we offer is "naturally" raised, certified
organic, and finished at our
farm. It is a healthy, delicious alternative to the unknown
store bought beef. In accordance with certified organic
standardsOur animals graze on clean herbicide-free
pasture in the summer and fed hay, grain and potatoes in the
winter. No growth hormones (e.g.steroids implants) antibiotics,
supplements (e.g.minerals containing animal by products) are
ever used. Only home-grown hay and grains. We transport in our
own trailer to a local abattoir minimizing stress on the animal.
After inspection the carcass is dry hung for two weeks and then
cut to our, or if pre ordered, to your specifications.
Your Best Bulk Buy is a half or a quarter but for those with a
smaller freezer we offer single cuts at any time, here in our
farm store.
Potatoes
Available from Mid August to May are a large selection of
varieties in all sizes and quantities. Yukon Gold, Russet, Red
Chieftain and White.
Goats
This is the right place to find a pet goat.
Eggs
Our Chickens are truly free range and when you drive in the
lane, please be careful. The flock is rather small but we do
have some brown eggs for sale.
Grain
We grow wheat, spelt and rye for baking and mixed grains (oats-barley-peas) for animal feed.
Stone ground flour is milled at the farm.
Mulch
Is from clean wood trimmings and available bulk.
Firewood
Our bush provides us with plenty of hardwood to heat the home
and shop. For sale by the face cord, well seasoned. |
